Health Insurance All NICE students are required to have health insurance. Medical insurance should be purchased in the students’ own countries if possible. Students should carry their medical insurance card with them at all times.
Students without medical insurance may not be allowed to attend classes. Students who do not purchase medical insurance in their home countries can purchase it on-line from the following private providers: HTH Travel Insurance or Compass Benefits Group.
Visa Information Visa status is determined by the Department of Homeland Security. Most 3-week NICE students are in the US on tourist (B-2) visas or on the ESTA visa waiver. On this status, you are eligible to study part-time.
You are not eligible to study full-time or work in the US If you have any questions about your visa status, go to the NICE office to see Lisa Nakandakari, Student Services Coordinator. You can also call her at 956-7753, or email her at [email protected].
Free Wireless Access You can use free Wifi around the university. If you request it when you register online, NICE staff will email a user name and password to you. If you did not get them, please stop by the NICE Office. The staff will gladly provide them to you.
